Sea of Stars, Sabotage Studio’s widely acclaimed hit indie RPG finally has a launch date for the free DLC, Throes of the Watchmaker the developers announced last fall.
The DLC is coming on May 20th, and the team announced the date with a new trailer and a stream to dive into the content, which is much bigger than they had originally planned. Expect more than 8 hours of new content, featured within a circus-themed clockwork world, with new areas to explore, new dungeons, minigames, puzzles, and of course, bosses.
Both Valere and Zale get new playable classes, with new attacks, damage types, and combos. Valere will be an acrobat and Zale takes on the role of juggler. We’re also getting a new playable character: Artificer, AKA Arty, the engineer robot. The perfect way to take advantage of the local co-op, now for up to three players, that Sea of Stars added back in November.
There is also all-new music from Sabotage’s Eric. W. Brown with contributions from guest composer, the legendary Yasunoi Mitsuda. We get a taste of all of this, including the flavor of the new setting, in the trailer.
Sabotage previewed Throes of the Watchmaker in a stream today, with VOD coming tomorrow.
