Earlier this year, we looked at the Vantage custom PS4 controller from Scuf Gaming. We were impressed by how well built it was and the levels that the additional programmability took our gaming to. Today, the company has unveiled the successor, the Scuf Vantage 2, with a suite of improvements to help you up your game.

The Vantage line features a unique array of buttons that help you access your most needed skills without taking your fingers from the trigger. It includes six customizable inputs which include four paddles along the back and two shoulder buttons the company refers to as SAX buttons. The Vantage 2, however, upgrades the internal components, improves the grip, adds a new app for PC customization, and more.

The Vantage 2 comes equipped with additional newly enhanced features including:

  • Improved High-Performance Grip
  • Upgraded trigger functions
  • PC Customization App for Windows
  • Improved button haptics
  • Refined tactile textures in the faceplate, trigger, bumper, and Sax buttons
  • Enhanced USB connection system

The Vantage 2 delivers the same ergonomic shape and asymmetrical thumbstick configuration as the original. Vantage controllers significantly increase hand use and control with the addition of over 15 customizable functions, including:

  • The patented paddle control system
  • Hair triggers and adjustable trigger stops
  • Removable trigger extenders
  • Quick-access remapping switch
  • Removable faceplate and removable vibration modules
  • Advanced audio control
  • Customizable thumbsticks, D-pads, and more

The Vantage 2 will also launch with a Limited Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare variant for fans eager for the upcoming shooter. This version will also feature custom vibration modules reminiscent of sniper scopes. Custom faceplates and other accessories will also be available for purchase.

The Vantage 2 will begin shipping on October 14th for $169.95 for the wired model, $199.95 for the wireless version, and $219.95 for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Limited Edition.
