Exoprimal, the new co-op shooter set in a futuristic world where Dinosaurs are invading, has released today across PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Exoprimal is a new IP from Capcom, with the new game launching with a sci-fi story for players to sink their teeth into. Set in 2043, this futuristic setting sees dinosaurs suddenly appear around the world, and players will don Exosuits to take on the role of a an Exofighter.

Exoprimal has multiple game modes at launch, from Dino Survival which seees teams complete tasks all while fighting off waves of Dinosaur invaders to Savage Gauntlet, a series of 5-person special missions where players compete for the fastest clear time. Savage Gauntlet is an end-game activity, and will unlock on July 28th. Dino Survival plays into the story of Exoprimal, as players will need to follow the instructions of the Leviathan AI while they fight off the hordes of Dinosaurs coming to tear them apart.

Confusingly, Exoprimal is technically cross platform, but with some major restrictions there. While you are technically playing the shooter with players across each platform, party creation is limited to a platform's ecosystem. In a Tweet last week, the developers broke down the ecosystems, with Steam being isolated, while PlayStation players can group up together. Xbox One, Xbox Series consoles and Windows PC (likely Gamepass and Windows Store purchases) can form parties.

Exoprimal, like pretty much every game nowadays, will also come with seasonal content, providing what Capcom calls a "challenging PvE experience," complete with repeatable missions that rotate weekly.

Exoprimal launches today on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X consoles. Xbox Game Pass players can jump into the action right away, with Exoprimal available on both console and the PC version of the subscription.
