Marvel Snap’s latest over the air balance patch sees Second Dinner take a lighter touch after some heavy handed changes over the past few months.
The most significant changes in the update were targeted at Sandman and War Machine, two cards that are completely opposite when it comes to their representation in the Snap meta. Sandman is almost ubiquitous due to its power to curb a lot of the popular board flooding decks on the ladder while War Machine has never really found its place since its debut earlier this year.
Sandman’s effect has been changed from only allowing both players to play a single card next turn to simply raising the energy cost of all cards by one for that turn. This will still limit some of the more egregious flood plays, but makes the card a bit less impactful more broadly.
War Machine, who’s effect allows players to play cards anywhere on the board on the next turn, is having his effect changed from an On Reveal to an Ongoing. This means players can play him down on curve and then decide when they want to play cards in locked down locations, boosting its usefulness significantly.
