For those who don’t want to stop the grind in Ravendawn, you’ll soon be able to bring it anywhere, as Tavernlight has announced a full mobile client for Ravendawn with its first tests coming soon.
In its announcement post, development studio Tavernlight says that the Ravendawn mobile version isn’t a revamped or “lite” edition, but instead the entire, full Ravendawn MMORPG, almost exactly how it is on PC. Players will be able to play cross-save and cross-platform, which means they can use their PC characters on the mobile version, too, including progress and social features.
The differences will be mainly in details like the UI, which is revamped for ease of use on mobile. Ravendawn’s mobile version will have client-specific UIs, with some customizable layouts and touch-friendly controls similar to other modern action/adventure games.
For now, there’ll only be an Android test and version, though the team says they’re “working toward expanding compatibility in the future”.
The first test is coming up pretty soon already, though only for the short window of 24 hours starting January 16 at 9:00 a.m. PST. Tavernlight hopes to incentivize players for joining and giving feedback, though; anyone who sends a bug for the mobile version during the test will get rewards. Details on the test and this initiative will go out in the official Ravendawn Discord server.
