The Fractured team have released a review of their latest stress test.

The review states what went well and what didn’t go well. For the successes, it looks like the servers held up against all the strain, especially during peak times. Additionally, interest in the game was high, with over 6000 new accounts created in the last few weeks, along with nearly 20,000 characters for roughly 15,000 distinct accounts. Registered users now top 70,000.

Additionally, the team touts over 400 new backers to the game, providing new sales. There were also few bugs that reared their head, which is obviously a plus.

On the downside, the land claiming and managements system wasn’t complete. Free parcels combined with multiple spawn points for new players combined to ensure plots surrounding spawn points were nabbed. Because of this, the team is going to prioritize the land claiming system for Alpha 2 – Test 2. Additionally, while few griefers and hacks happened, some managed to sneak.

Here’s what’s next. Alpha 2 – Test 2 starts in late February / early March and will feature:

  • Parties;
  • Guilds;
  • Land parcel management (friends & access levels);
  • The first iteration of the Vale of Shadows.
