Saga of Lucimia Talks Business Models In New YouTube Video

In a new YouTube video posted by the Saga of Lucimia team, the developers behind the upcoming MMORPG break down their thoughts on MMO business models - specifically subscriptions and cash shops as they currently exist.

In the video, the Tim Anderson from Stormhaven Studios explores how MMOs are monetized, and talks about the team's thoughts on how lootboxes, microtransactions and cash shops. One thing of note is the mention that while Saga has been operating with a "subscription-based game mentality," the video suggests that this stance may be softening - as Tim says the team understands the "economics of the industry and why a hybrid model may be an option as well."

The video is fascinating, especially seeing a developer talk so candidly about monetization in this industry - specifically speaking to the predatory nature of cash shops early into the video.
