Russian Service Ending on June 1st

Mail.ru has announced that service for Lord of the Rings Online in Russia will be closing effective June 1st due to a non-renewal of the contract. As of this writing, players can no longer register for the game and no more payments for microtransaction items are being accepted. A special tavern with all equipment in it has been set up to equip players with the best of the best for one last epic journey through Middle-Earth.

Players can join the global LOTRO service, but characters cannot be transfered.
