RuneScape’s next big story quest, Ode of the Devourer, is coming this month, and the team dives into the quest that will feature some familiar faces and get you prepared for more new content.
Ode of the Devourer will take you into the Sanctum of Rebirth, RuneScape’s first all boss dungeon. You'll start investigating the mysterious Sanctum and beginning to learn about its origins and purpose.This will also help you get ready for the next Skilling boss, The Gate of Elidinis. When you get started, you’ll work with Icthlarin “and another familiar face” they’re not going to spoil.
Jagex updates on prerequisites, and more to know (without spoilers) in order to prepare for the quest when it’s out on September 23rd. If you’re up to date, head to Fort Forthinry on that date to kick off the next quest and phase.
One of the steps that Jagex has announced was to prevent too many spoilers before releasing some new content, to let many enjoy it before they go into a full deep dive. The balance between reveals and giving everyone the deepest details is still intact here, as they haven’t revealed that second character yet. The release of Ode of the Devourer comes a few days before RuneScape’s first round of membership price hikes in two years. Those go into effect on September 27th.
