RuneScape’s second Skilling Boss is here to offer a new challenge, and an accompanying event for some additional rewards. The Gate of Elidinis follows the recently-released Ode of the Devourer story quest, and takes you to the peak of the Sanctum of Rebirth.
The new Skilling boss is now available for members. Amascut’s corruption extends across the desert, and the Gate of Elidinis, once considered a sacred portal for the spirits of the dead, they have also now been corrupted. If you’ve completed Ode of the Devourer, then you understand the stakes. The corrupted portal is now sending spirits into the Desert, where they may hear the call to join Amascut’s forces.
So, this is where you, solo or in a group of up to 10, step in and try to restore peace before the corruption continues to spread and it’s too late. The combat encounter with the Gate of Elidinis boss highlights four skills: Agility, Crafting, Divination, and the recently-updated Mining. Before you reach the boss encounter, mine Moonstone and work to craft Spiritual Barriers. The corruption is strong. Working together and holding off the boss, your group will work to restore the destroyed statue of Elidinis. Cleanse the pieces of the statue to free them from corruption and restore the portal to its original function.
If you are able to take down the boss and restore the portal, rewards include a new Runecrafting Runic Attuner off-hand, a new Divination off-hand, the Memory Dowser, new Prayer, Eclipsed Soul, and a new God Book, the Conduit of Souls. We can’t forget the brand new pet, Edit. In case you miss the shattered statue. For this, You will need to cleanse the gate 1,000 times in total.
To mark the release, the Gate of Elidinis Shard Hunt also begins. From today through October 6th, participate and complete tasks to earn Moonstone shards. Exchange those shards for additional loot.
