RuneScape’s combat beta continues with a new phase, as Jagex also offers players a 2023 stats recap, more Treasure Hunter, and more.
The combat beta is headed into a new phase today, with the team getting close to a release into the live game. They still need some more help though, as “for this final stretch we really want to get the feel just right”, but this build is a potential release candidate. That said, the team is clear that this is one of the reasons why this phase of the beta exists. This build is “pitched” as a final candidate, but it is totally up for change if it’s warranted.
They’re looking for all types of players to take part and get the widest potential response on how well it all works, so they hope to get a sizable response. Since this might be the final test. Before it's released out into the wild, they’d like to be sure it works for the veterans, those who more recently arrived in Gielinor, the skillers, the PvMers, and those in between. They're asking people to focus on how the new systems feel compared to what is currently on the live server. That’s a tight focus because they aim to continue work on the bigger picture but need a solid foundation first.
For those who have been around for a while, Jagex would like to interest you in a custom 2023 recap. You can opt into their newsletter to get a breakdown of all your top stats, including things like hours played, bosses killed, deaths, your most trained skill, and how much gold and XP you racked up. You can opt in by the end of the month to make sure you get your recap.
Treasure Hunter rotates Contagion back in tomorrow and Wednesday, with Phoenix Rising returning from February 1-5th.
