RuneScape has gotten another round of graphical upgrades, as a result of Game Jam work and other overhauls from the team. Aside from all the visual upgrades, the Yak Track has been extended, Treasure Hunter starts a new round tomorrow, and there are some additional fixes.

The team has been overhauling multiple areas, bringing those areas up to the visual standard of newer places all across Gielinor. In previous updates there have been graphical refreshes for a number of areas, including some of the free to play areas.

This time, 10 older areas have gotten big graphical upgrades and refreshes. These overhauls have been applied to Camelot, Draynor Village, Lumbridge Swamp, Karamja, Rimmington, Crandor, Catherby, Port Sarim, Taverley, and Burthorpe.

The official announcement has comparison screenshots for all of the newly upgraded areas. It is a remarkable level of depth to the changes. If you spend time in Gielinor, you’ll find some things stay familiar, while others have gotten a serious lift. It’s worth taking a glimpse at how things have changed and how much work went into these upgrades through the comparison shots.

Another round of Treasure Hunter begins tomorrow. This time, it’s Looting Range, where you have a shot to win yourself the new Woodland Archer’s Outfit or even the Ranger Roll Walk Override. This will run through May 17th.

The Forinthry Frontier Yak Track is so huge, and involves a lot of stuff to do and lots of rewards to collect, that it’s going to be even longer now. To give everyone a chance to complete more of the challenges and walk away with more rewards on the track, they are extending it until June 11th. The RuneScape team did set up a very difficult track, with a ton of rewards to celebrate, but they are lowering the  time pressure just a little bit to let everyone have a chance to get through the scale of these big challenges.
