There’s something stirring over in RuneScape, where the first Fort Forthinry season continues next week with a new mini-quest and a consequential, and rewarding, new Slayer Challenge.
“Fort Forinthry: Unwelcome Guests” is the name of the next mini-quest, and it will begin on April 10th. This follows the opening mini-quest of the season, “Murder on the Border”. If you’ve had the chance to play through that one, there are both answers and more to follow, as Unwelcome Guests follows the events of that quest.
This time, Fort Forthinry is facing another challenge–hordes of mysterious undead suddenly wandering around. The quest also serves to introduce a new Slayer Master, The Raptor, who will assist with the horde and to begin the investigation into just where they’re coming from and why.
You’ll have to be a member to participate in this content, and have completed both prior quests and have level 10 Slayer and level 50 Construction. Construction is set to, once again, be vital for the completion of Fort Forthinry content, and to continue the story.
Also being introduced with “Fort Forthinry: Unwelcome Guests” are some new slayer creatures. The new creatures are Risen Ghost, Bound Skeleton, Fetid Zombie, and Armoured Phantom. Conquer these and you’ll be able to earn yourself new slayer trophies, leading to new reward opportunities.
Within the new content, you’ll also get to meet a villainous necromancer named Zemouregal, who will continue to play an important role in the story to come. With Necromancy coming as RuneScape’s brand new skill, having an important necromancer seems like only the beginning.
The new mini-quest begins April 10th for members, and the Spring Festival has returned starting today through April 16th. For those with Skilling in mind, there’s even a Skilling Pet Bunny EarToken to earn and put on your skill pets. Maybe a zombie or two?
