RuneScape’s newest Slayer monster is here to take on as you traverse the deep Kharidan Desert. This week's update also comes with fixes for Group Ironman, bug fixes, and the announcement of a new Devourer bundle.
If you’ve managed to train up to level 87 Slayer, then you can take on the big desert bugs now roaming the desert in the vicinity of Pollnivneach. The Profane Scabarites are there, free from the tenets of Scabaras, and ready to battle. If you want to take on the new swarm, and you're ready to fight, a brand new helm could be yours with a victory.
The Spectral Lens is that brand new Slayer helm and it comes with Necromancy benefits. Jagex is continuing to expand upon Necromancy, and if you get this drop, it will require level 20 necromancy and 20 defense to equip.
Once you have it on, enjoy a 7.5% Necromancy damage boost and 12.5% Necromancy accuracy against monsters that are part of your current Slayer task. You will not have to have an active Slayer task in order for the helm to drop, but drop rates are reportedly slightly better if you do. The Spectral Lens can be turned into the Ensouled Spectral Lens down the line if you complete the right Ritual.
Jagex has also announced a new RuneScape Devourer Bundle coming to Humble Bundle on Wednesday, November 6th. The promotion features Devourer-themed rewards and more to be revealed. “Plus, get ready to hang out with Dwayne, the friendliest scorpion in Gielinor.”
Premier membership rewards also got a refresh and preview. Expect the usual new cosmetic outfit and pet, along with a new teleport animation, and free boss instances daily, up from weekly.
