RuneScape opens its mobile social lobby today, adding a long-requested feature since the beginning of mobile support. Also this week is the continuing Raptor’s Rampage event, the return of Treasure Hunter, and some additional changes and fixes.

If you play RuneScape on mobile, you’ve probably seen requests or even asked Jagex for a mobile social lobby yourself. This has been a popular request for a while now. Well, it’s  finally here. The mobile social lobby will let you access friends, your clan chat, and more features so that you can still keep in touch even when you're not on desktop. This should be live for all mobile platforms today.

Also this week are the continuing Raptor’s Rampage event, which runs until January 22nd. This is designed to start your year off with increased chances at rare loot. Get your daily buff, and you'll get a bonus to the next boss kill (with a few exceptions) that will let you have three rolls on the rare drop table.

The team has released a brand new Berserk animation, free for all players. There are also three  new cosmetic overrides. The first, a Chaotic version of the new Berserk animation, the Chaotic Hurricane override, and the Azure Sunshine override.

If you want these new overrides, Academy of Heroes: Treasure Hunter is coming. The event opens on January 19th and ends on the 25th. This time, there are some new cosmetic overrides. So if you want to participate, go and damage some enemies and get some rewards and bonus loot. Some will find the new Cosmetic Override scrolls. The luckiest participants will find the Echo of Zamorak, defeat it, and be rewarded with a guaranteed drop of all three new cosmetic overrides.

Also this week, there are some tweaks, including improvements for the death cost reduction change, adding tooltips to all graphical settings, and more.
