RuneScape has a lot planned in November, and in addition to the new combat beta beginning today, the team is giving a rundown of the next month.
The new combat beta that opens today has a few key goals, with the overall intention meant to add some elements from the Necromancy combat style into the three existing combat styles. This is the first stage. Later, they’ll continue to refine all styles. “As the Beta proceeds, we’ll look to include other changes to combat styles, and refine the identity of each style. Together we can work towards modernizing the feel and flow of combat!”
On November 20th, expect a brand new boss, Vorkath, courtesy of the scheming and successful planning of Zemouregal. In fact, you will have to fight both of them in a duel. You can complete this in story, normal, and hard mode either solo or with a group. there will be new Ranged and Necromancy drops.
Not only does Zemouregal have an undead army, but he wants to destroy Varrock. So you and Fort Forinthry will be what’s there to get in his way. If you have already completed the Fort Forinthry storyline up to Ancient Awakening and have Necromancy 60, you’ll be involved in this new siege of the fort.
November will also see the return of Double XP on November 10th, with 48 Hours of Double XP to claim over a 10-day period. As usual, you can pause the timer when you need to in order to not waste any Double XP time or trade leftover time for credits.
November 6th and the 13th will each welcome new rounds of community-voted graphical updates, this time to Entrana and some dungeons. Treasure Hunter also returns on November 2nd, with Phoenix Rising.
The Community Hitlist is also getting some love, with newly-announced fixes and tweaks for some of the most requested and most troublesome bugs and changes.
Today's update to the main game reflects a number of these fixes and additional changes. See more at RuneScape.
