RuneScape Login Issues Have Been Fixed

If you were trying to play RuneScape yesterday and kept receiving errors, you might want to try again as the issue seems to have been fixed.

There were reports about an error message “login servers offline” communicated out to players who tried to log into RuneScape yesterday. The team got wind of it and started looking into the issue. Around 1704 GMT, they began bringing the servers back online after a rollback.

However, new reports came in about a new round of login issues from players. The team then continued investigating the cause and recommended to avoid world hopping and participating in any other high risk activities.

Around 20:06 GMT, they were able to bring Runescape.com back online, but the game was still down. Finally, at around 21:15 GMT, the login servers were reported to be back online. At the time, the team noted that a few accounts may still be affected.
