Group Ironman is coming to RuneScape on October 28th. Jagex has also introduced the latest topic for community feedback: Combat Mastery achievements.

The upcoming addition of Group Ironman mode offers groups of 2-5 The opportunity to adventure in Gielinor together, where the only collaboration and sources of help will be the members of the group itself. There is shared group storage, and you can help one another out (and you should, because it’s the only way to make it). Pull your skills, resources, and everything you can to put forth towards a group victory. More info on the mode will be coming soon to get things set up closer to release.

The team is also seeking community input on combat mastery achievements. This comes in the form of the latest Right Click Examine blog, where J-Mod Pigeon introduces 2025’s Combat Mastery Achievements project. This will follow Old School RuneScape’s lead, with the same sort of structure. At this point they are planning on six achievement tiers - Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, Master, and Grandmaster, with three achievement categories each. Those are kill speed, kill count, and mechanical achievements.

They also give us an idea of what each of these achievement categories look like, such as defeating Black Stone Dragon in under 90 seconds under kill speed. Under the more nebulous mechanical achievements, this means being able to defeat a boss in a specific or intentionally difficult way, like beating Nex with 1-2 players.

The devs share some kinds of rewards we might see, and ask for suggestions on what sort of might be appropriate for some of these combat achievements that don't offer additional power.  There are not many Skilling bosses yet, but with the Skilling overhauls and level cap boosts, we're likely to see more of them, so the team wants to know if they should count in combat mastery achievements. You can also weigh in on what kind of combat achievements you would make if it were up to you and what rewards would make your PvM journey more enjoyable.
