Halloween has arrived in RuneScape, with a new miniquest and activities, along with returning tasks. This week also brings Treasure Hunter: Grim Harvest, week five of Fresh Start worlds, and a major update to the Jagex launcher.
When things get spooky, RuneScape has you covered, with what’s going on at Draynor Manor. There are five different activities you can take on that will help you train a variety of Skills, each with a miniquest. There are also 20 Halloween cosmetics to earn and Halloween activity completion bonuses of up to 14%.
This year’s new miniquest “follows Fame as she investigates Vampyres! Complete it for the Vampyric Regalia Outfit”, so if you’re looking for a new look, this might be your quest to complete. There are also some new cosmetics, the Death’s Death Mask and Renegade Armour, and the return of the Web Cloak. RuneScape does love those cloaks and capes.
It is week five of Fresh Start worlds, and this week the bonuses have changed to be a double XP bonus for skills below level 70 and a 75% XP bonus 4 skills above level 70. there will also be no losses upon death, a 50% accuracy boost to combat, and more. The free bonus is sure to help a bunch of players. The Fresh Start worlds also get the Halloween event.
Treasure Hunter is appropriately themed this week, with Grim Harvest arriving and masks being the rewards. This event begins on Thursday, October 27th, and there are three masks, Spooky Ghost, Boolap Bag, and Spooky Hare, to add to your collection.
There's also a major update this week for the Jagex launcher, which follows the release of the Mac beta client. Now the launcher will support multiple accounts. The launcher and multi-account support have security so that you can switch accounts simply as long as you remain an active player.
