The New World sub Reddit has with a new post that supposedly shows off some footage from the game, perhaps part of an upcoming trailer. New World has been utterly silent since its announcement in September 2016. For hungry fans looking for "the next big thing", this new footage fuels rumors and guesses about what Amazon Game Studios has been up to in the intervening months.
The video opens with a look at three different characters holding weapons and standing in a forest. All are dressed in very 17th and 18th Century garb. Later, a character runs towards a fortress. Also included in the footage is a map that is not totally dissimilar to that found in Black Desert Online.
The narrator offers a few other hints:
Group up in parties large or small for coordination, shared chat, maps, status awareness buffs and experience. Working together has never been so easy. Guilds and Alliances enable the organisation of hundreds of players with their own tasks and roles and large scale efforts toward a massive Marshall and economic power.
