ROSE Online is coming back. According to a new post on the game's previously dormant Facebook page, the MMORPG will be relaunching under a new, officially licensed development team.

While there isn't much known yet about the plans for relaunch, the game's new homepage simply says "Returning Soon" with social media and streaming platforms linked. The Facebook post announcing the return is similarly simple:

"Hello Roserians,

ROSE Online is coming back! Yes, you heard that right! As we speak, the new team is working hard to bring back the game that we all love as soon as possible," it reads, in part.

According to a Reddit post from September, there was a little bit about the upcoming relaunch plans and the studio. The new development team looks to be Rednim Games, which is a small studio in Austin, Texas.

"Our team is now in official partnership with Gravity and has officially licensed ROSE Online. Our team has established a new game development studio based in Austin, TX called Rednim Games that will be the primary publisher and developer of ROSE Online. We have been working on this arrangement for a long time and are very happy to be able to officially bring back this game from its retirement. While it is still very early in the process for us and there will be many more months before the game is launched, we wanted to share this news with our community who have been patiently following our ROSE Next updates. "

The original release of ROSE Online was shut down in 2019, with the Japanese developer declaring bankruptcy later. The IP then went into that gray area of discontinued games that some fans may miss and try to unofficially continue, which looks to be the origin of the new team. Those who've started Rednim Games were running ROSE Next and have now acquired the license to bring back the game in an official capacity.
