The much-awaited Rogue archetype, teased before in prior streams and updates, has arrived to Ashes of Creation, which is currently in its Alpha 2 phase.
Stealth takes priority as a mechanic, letting players most likely stay invisible to non-allies around them, especially when they’re still behind their opponents (a.k.a. “potential targets,” of course). Once they’ve engaged in combat, mobility and quick-fire burst damage are the first and foremost parts of the style, such as one ability that lets players flip over their opponent while still dishing out damage.
Rogues in Ashes of Creation can also accumulate a condition called “Advantage.” By gaining this through the use of certain abilities, the Rogue player can activate effects such as extra damage or Silencing enemies. Plus, caltrops, smoke bombs, and poisons are part of the arsenal, though the official Rogue launch preview blog teases more.
Other recent changes announced include a major overhaul for collecting materials as Ashes of Creation aims to keep players on their toes, even out of combat.
