It looks like the next Grand Theft Auto game is in development, according to Rockstar Games in the latest GTA community update. The update also features details on GTA Online and GTA five coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The tidbit came at the end of a community update, and while keeping GTA V and GTA Online going on new platforms, Rockstar says “we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway”. And that’s all the detail we have available until Rockstar gives us more.

The GTA Online community is still seeing success and growth, with the latest release, The Contract, bridging the gap between GTA V and GTA Online by including Franklin and catching up with the story. The Contract’s Quick Trip missions will soon be available without going through the story missions first. The official versions of Dr. Dre‘s new tracks from the update are now available on streaming services.

GTA V and GTA Online are both coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X|S platforms next month. Both of these will be available on the latest consoles, and marks a special longevity for GTA V as it hits its third console generation. When GTA V and GTA Online come to these consoles, they will feature graphic modes with up to 4K resolution and 60 FPS, HDR options and additional technical advancements.

For those who already play on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, there will be a special one time migration available. You will be able to transfer both story mode progress in GTA V and GTA Online information and progression.

There will also be a new version of GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, which will unlock several features like career paths, and include the new Hao’s Special Works auto shop for customizing vehicles for extra performance, taking advantage of the new platforms.
