Psyonix has announced that the cross-platform party feature for Rocket League is being delayed to early 2019. Called "RocketID", the feature was planned for release by the end of 2018. However, while disappointing, Psyonix will be using the extra time to leveral Sony's recent decision to allow "full cross-platform functionality" and the team will be working to make sure that RocketID is ready to go for all platforms "should we receive permission to do so".

Psyonix also write that they want to ensure "that RocketID is as intuitive, stable, and polished as possible before releasing it to the world".

Readers are also told that XBox One X support is coming before the end of 2018 that will allow players to compete at 4K with 60FPS and HDR.
