Riot Games Confirms It's Working On A League of Legends MMO

In a tweet today by Riot's Greg Street, VP of IP and Entertainment at the studio, the company has confirmed that its creating an MMO. Also, in the same tweet the studio confirmed they were hiring for this endeavor.

League of Legends fans have been clamoring for an MMO set in the game's universe for years now, and Street's tweets confirm that the team behind the MOBA phenomenon is currently working on one in the League universe.

Street made the announcement in a tweet putting out a call that they were hiring, but confirmed that it's an MMO in a subsequent reply.

The internet is reacting like you might expect, with many people celebrating this announcement. 

Right now we know, well, nothing really other than its in development, but we'll be sure to follow this story and share any information we might be able to once more information is available.
