Riot has announced Valorant’s Ignition Series, with the goal of building a “robust competitive ecosystem” for the game.
The team envisions the esports scene for Valorant to grow organically in order to develop its players, in addition to reflecting the voice of the community. They cited the closed beta and the tournaments taking place during that time.
Enter the Ignition Series. This series has been created with several esports organizations. Each of these partners is set to create their own tournament. This can be open qualifiers, show matches, and invitationals.
Events are set to take place in North America, Brazil, Latin America, Korea, Japan, South East Asia, Oceania, Europe, Russia, Turkey, and the Middle East. Riot created this landing page for additional information on each event.
The team reiterates their commitment to Valorant and the community,
“We’re committed to building VALORANT on the core pillars of competitive integrity, accessibility, and authenticity to create an experience that will captivate you for many years to come.”
