For a little while now, the Rift team has shared some new and returning events, sales and more from the still-going community in Telara. Now, Gamigo has announced that Rift will get a series of server merges in the North American region.
The server merges will happen this month, and the move is designed to help population issues. If you want a head start by moving yourself over to a new server, the announcement details which will be merged. Server transfers are available from Faeblight, Hailol, and Seastone, over to Deepwood, Greybriar, Laethys, and Wolfsbane.
There’s no exact time revealed for the server merges, but you can manually transfer until March 25th. If you do not start a manual transfer before that date, the team will provide information on how the transition will happen. So it’s going to happen either way. Picking which server you want to go to ahead of time will give you the most choice. The merges will happen anyway, and we don’t know yet exactly which individual servers will merge into which other servers.
This first notice is more of a heads up. The team will be providing more details on the merges and their effort to condense the North American shards to help there be enough players to enjoy the content with.
