Riders Republic Beta Starts This Week - But Don't Expect to See It if You Weren't Invited

Riders Republic is headed to closed beta this week, with nearly two months left before the game is set to release. Players who have signed up for the beta should expect to have their invites in-hand by now, as preload has started. If you didn’t get into the beta, and hoped to see the extreme sports-themed MMO on streams and videos later, think again, as all players in next week’s beta test will be under a strict NDA.

Players itching to get into the game can read a little more about what’s going to be available for a test in Ubisoft’s latest blog, which details the access rules and content released for the upcoming test that runs from August 23^rd to the 25^th. Preload has already begun for PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/S/X, and will have cross-play support, so no matter where you play, you can interact with everyone. Here are some of the features available for next week’s test:

Play all 5 sports available: Bike, Ski, Snowboard, Wingsuit and, Rocket Wingsuit
Access to 3 sport careers: Bike Races, Snow Tricks and Air Sports
Access to all 3 multiplayer modes: Mass Races, Tricks Battle and Free For All
Fully roam the open world including some side activities

There will be some limitations to the test, for example, the number of stars available to earn in the test will be limited to 55. Stars give you the ability to unlock more events, so you’ll want to earn more stars as you play, but some tracks and races will be locked. Riders will still get to experience the massive races with over 50 players, that are largely relegated to next gen and PC players, with last gen consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 limiting their maximum players around 20.

Between the player-heavy races, the open world encounters, the trick battles, and more, the beta will surely impress extreme sports fans that are able to experience it. Those that do get in will be able to share access with up to 5 of their friends. Riders Republic is planning for an October 28^th release, barring any negative feedback that would potentially cause another delay.
