Riders of Icarus is the latest title that will be going “play to earn”. The MMO has been running since 2016, and is currently published by Valofe. Valofe also recently announced that Bless Unleashed would also join with Wemix for a blockchain conversion. Riders of Icarus will also onboard with the Wemix blockchain platform.
The change was recently announced with no date, but with a note to “stay tuned for our next maintenance in June 2022” so the transition should be happening very soon. A new teaser for the change is also similarly lacking in details or dates.
Riders of Icarus is known for its systems that let you tame, capture, and train creatures and the P2E conversion announcement intends to reassure players that the game they love won’t be changing at its core, but that they will have the potential to earn while playing.
