Studio Wildcard has announced that the ARK: Survival Evolved retail release date has been pushed back to August 29th, three weeks later than the original August 8th release. The delay came at the hands of Gold Master certification taking longer than anticipated.
The later than expected retail release also is having an effect on the Ragnarok update. It will come out on August 29th as well. Prior to its arrival, the team will bring a new canyon to explore, a boss encounter, new engrams and a "secret the Ragnarok team is cooking up".
Before the August 29th release, several patches and updates will be released:
- PC performance to bring online improvements made for the console versions as well as working to ensure that PC performance is up to snuff for the best experience possible.
- Several features will be addressed: Multiplayer bosses, "baby-to-juvie-stasis", closing ways for raiding to take place in The Center and Under the Mesh.
- DDoS mitigation processes will be implemented at mid-month
- closure of a dupe exploit
- server rental
