There's a new EverQuest II Producer’s Letter,  and in the final quarterly roadmap update, we get the 19th expansion title, Renewal of Ro. The expansion will become available for beta testing on October 4th.

This month, in addition to events like the return of Panda, Panda, Panda! and Gear Up, Level Up, the expansion prelude, Secrets of the Sands, went live, giving everyone a taste of what is coming. However, those who want to take part in the beta  can get access with a pre-order, which will also open soon.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, expect the 18th anniversary celebration with the Heroes’ Festival. As usual, we should be able to expect a mix of returning and some new content as well. Also in November, the Everquest II team will raise funds for Children's Miracle Network with the annual Extra Life campaign. Extra Life will happen on November 5th, but campaigns will normally open and get an announcement earlier.

Beyond this, in December, of course, it will be time for the annual expansion. Renewal of Ro still has just a title and some splash art, but now’s the time to get your speculation up and running. There’s at least one more hint, in the sign off of the letter: “Get ready to “Tack on your best gear and establish yourself as one of the greatest of spelunkers in hiztory”. This could refer back to EverQuest’s Lost Dungeons of Norrath expansion and the North Ro expedition.

Head of Studio Jenn Chan is promising more details soon, and with beta opening next week, we should be seeing more info and hints begin over the coming weeks. last year’s expansion, Visions of Vetrovia, is on sale if you need to catch up before Renewal of Ro is available.
