Reign of Guilds Restructures Roadmap as 1 Year in Early Access Nears

Atlant Games has updated the Reign of Guilds roadmap as the team nears their 1 year in Early Access. According to the latest information via Steam, Atlant has significantly revised their plans since August 2024.

At this stage of development the team is still working their way through chapter 1, focusing on the new player experience, and ensuring that most of the bugs have been ironed out-especially in cases that prevent players from progressing.

However, the roadmap has been built out in chapters, with Chapter 5 feeling far away compared to where the team currently sits. To that end, the team stated they are now only announces immediate, achievable tasks, excluding distant mechanics and backend details. This way they can focus on realistic goals players will be able to see in the short term.

Covering approximately 60-70% of planned work, the roadmap is meant to prioritize community feedback with detailed 'Changes and Fixes' cards tracking resolutions for longstanding issues and balance improvements brought to light by current players. One thing obviously missing from the latest roadmap are specific deadlines. The team believes that chapters should span 1-2 months, with a new updated roadmap following each major chapter as the team intends to be as transparent as they can. Whether these goals will actually be achievable, only time will tell, but it looks like the team will miss their planned release date of Summer of 2025 at their current pace.
