The Project Genom team is back and ready to reveal what it has been working on over the past week. Most notably, the game world is expanding, graphics are being improved and upgrades are being made to existing models.
The world is expanding with the snowy regions near the starter zone. The basic components are in place that will expand over time. It encompasses an area of roughly ten square miles.
After upgrading the graphics for the game in general, the team is also taking time to revising existing models and upgrading them as needed. In addition, the day / night cycle is being tweaked, particularly near the Ark, the earliest location in the game. Lastly, the first concept art for the player's "personal cabin" have been published. These structures can be expanded and customized for each individual player's taste and mechanics.
We’ve begun working on the concept for the player's personal cabin. The cabins will be expanded and customized as needed. All complex cabin blocks will carry a special meaning and mechanics helping the player. Each separate wall block can be replaced with another more suitable for your gaming style. For example, a bedroom block will restore health and temporarily increase all vital indicators. The bathroom will allow you to remove some unpleasant debuffs from the character, and the craft block will allow you to create quality items from different ingredients.
Lastly, the main female character's animations went under the developmental "knife" and received some nice upgrades that you can see in a number of gifs in the letter.
You can check out all of the details on the Project Genom site.
