When Microsoft recently announced the shutdown of several studios, including Arkane Austin, the most recent update at that time was announced as Redfall’s final update. Well, Arkane has announced that there is one more final update (this time the real final update), that will bring some requested modes and features as development shuts down.

The Redfall team shared an update today thanking the community for their support after the closure announcement and sharing that there is a real final update on the way.

“Thank you for all your supportive messages.

We are working to release our final update, Game Update 4, that brings revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, Offline Mode, and more.  We’ll provide additional details soon. Thank you all.”

The co-op vampire shooter will receive the offline mode that the community has been asking for for a while, and there will be a single-player pause feature, as well as a few updated features like the Nest system overhaul. More details will be coming, but this is the cap on Redfall’s development.

After the update is out, Redfall will continue to be available for the foreseeable future for those who still want to jump in for some vampire slaying with friends. While these last improvements are on the way, there won’t be the other promised new post-launch characters and other developments promised to owners of the deluxe edition and Hero Pass. Bethesda and Microsoft will still be issuing some credit to owners in a promised make good effort. Details on that are also to be announced.
