Redditor Who Accurately Leaked Destiny 2's New 'Prismatic' Subclass Says Destiny 3 is in the Works at Bungie

Bungie surprised Destiny 2 players this week with a reveal of a new subclass coming to the game with The Final Shape expansion when it drops this June. The new Prismatic subclass will allow players to leverage powers from all of the currently available subclasses. But that’s not what we’re talking about today, not entirely, anyways.

The Prismatic subclass was leaked on reddit roughly a month ago and now that leaker is back, this time revealing that Bungie is reportedly at work on Destiny 3, which is being codenamed Payback at the studio.

The big sort of structural change Bungie is making with the sequel is seemingly being seeded to players via Destiny 2’s new Prismatic subclass. Instead of a single subclass capable of creating a unique build from a pool of abilities, all players in Destiny 3 will be able to do this by default. The familiar array of Titan, Hunter, and Warlock classes are being abolished in favor of a more freeform system in general.

A month ago Reddit user 32638272187’s information may as well have been “trust me bro” material, but now it’s a bit hard to ignore these claims, as outlandish as they may appear to be.
