Rockstar announced this morning that their online component to the award-winning Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online, is getting a standalone game this December.
Via a press release, the standalone version of Red Dead Online will be available not only for those who already own Red Dead Redemption 2, but for those who don't, and will cost $4.99 as an introductory offer. Come February 15th, the price will go up to its normal $20 price tag. For those who get the standalone version of RDO, you'll have the ability to unlock the story mode, as well as all of what they call "gameplay upgrades", as well as content, including the upcoming Bounty Hunter Roles.
The Bounty Hunters expansion is also slated for next week and willinclude new Prestigious equipment, skills to unlock, new Legendary Bounties, and more. Additionally, all Bounty Hunter Missions are doling out double XP in RDO this week.
Rockstar is also celebrating by giving other bonuses and discounts, including increased RDO$ and XP for posse members on Bounty and Free Roam events, discounts on items in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue, and Prime Gaming benefits, such as a free horse and $100 of RDO$.
