Ready or Not launches out of Early Access on December 13 and a new dev vlog shared with the folks at Game Rant details the changes and additions coming with the launch update.
Movement mechanics are in for a significant overhaul in 1.0. Players will now have granular control over how their team’s move, with commands like Fall In allowing for double-file, diamond, and wedge formations. AI will also maintain formation and avoid the player’s line-of-fire in combat.
The update also adds 12 new SWAT teammate voices with over 18,000 lines of dialogue, the ability to issue commands to players in online multiplayer, non-lethal deployment commands, improved breach and clear mechanics, additional mod support, and more.
Developers Void Interactive have positioned Ready or Not as a spiritual successor to popular tactical shooters such as SWAT as well as the earlier titles in Ubisoft’s long running Rainbow Six series.
