Ravendawn's Latest Update Brings Too Many Balance Changes to Count, Plus New Environmental Details and Launcher

Ravendawn continues its frequent updates and additions, and the 2.1.0 patch that just launched is no exception. This patch brings not only a new launcher, but also balance changes and reworks for nearly every gameplay system in the sandbox MMORPG.

What’s important to know to get the game going at all is that you’ll need to update the launcher in order to play again. You can get it from the Account panel on the official site now that the game’s updates have been pushed through.

At least one nifty addition for Ravendawn’s ambience is the addition of weather- and time-based nature ambience. They won’t affect gameplay, per se, but it’s just another way the devs are hoping to make the game feel more alive.

As for changes, it’s really no exaggeration to say nearly everything in Ravendawn has seen some sort of balance or rework, and it’s hard to pick what’s a “true” highlight given how broad this game’s playstyles can be. While it was previewed in a dev blog, seeing the sheer scale is something else.

Aether Echoes, Breeding, Archetypes, Professions, Tradesacks, and more have an absolute slew of changes. The Death Debt has gone up by 4x silver, Potions give more health, and they’re removing the Supplybag for now, as well as the Warmode Channel. Plus, certain NPCs’ profession-related items have been removed and replaced with non-profession items.

If you’re invested in any way in Ravendawn, you should absolutely just read the entire patch notes/log on the official site to see what you’re getting back into. Meanwhile, the team at Tavernlight also says their anticheat partnership with Battleye has been working out quite well, and we’re still eagerly waiting for that mobile version.
