Ravendawn recently released their 1.0 version of the game, and the team at Tavernlight Games has since noticed some troubling server issues that have persisted for the past several days. The developers have stated that they are working hard on smoothing out the issues with the game and have setup a 30-day partnership for players experiencing connection issues.
Ravendawn, a 2D sandbox MMO that launched on January 16th, 2024, has been having some problems with players connecting to servers, and terrible ping issues that have caused the developers to issue a recent apology for the ongoing problems.
“We will not rest until Ravendawn is an incredibly smooth experience for everyone playing, that is our promise to you.” The team states before thanking players for their patience. This comes hot on the heels of a partnership that Tavernlight Games made with ExitLag, a data routing service that helps reduce ping and route traffic more efficiently.
The partnership with Ravendawn allows players a full 30 days of ExitLag for free, which the team believes will help reduce the disconnections, lag and poor animation jitter that the game has experienced since launch. Unfortunately, the partnership appears to only be a stopgap measure as the problems are ongoing, and Tavernlight is frustrated that the problems haven’t resolved quickly enough.
Aside from the lag issues, the team has also recently disabled the marketplace on Angerhorn as server issues persist. The developers are working to restore the marketplace, but they are also eyeing some quality of life updates. One fix that rolled out last night was the change to community land, as Tavernlight has reduced the requirement to unlock additional community plots, so players can unlock more space to farm and raise animals.
