Ravendawn has been enjoying a successful launch, and the team at Tavernlight Games has released a new roadmap for the game, along with impressive player numbers. The team is also working to iron out some of the remaining issues as players numbers keep growing.
A major issue since launch has been lag. They fixed most of the lag issues, but there's still some remaining issues to fix and they promise that will be done ASAP. They've already had to add a second server, and the population keeps growing every day since launch, with both current servers having “nearly identical populations” and both being near capacity. They also announced streaming numbers, with over 1.2 million unique Twitch viewers watching over 1.5 million hours of content in the first six days.
With that kind of success, naturally they're looking towards the futureAnd have released a road map. Tavernlight prefers to not give dates on when we can expect something, so they’ve chosen to just mention the major features in the works (with smaller updates also planned alongside them). “When we provide a date, it is a date we will do everything we can to commit to,” they say.
So what’s in the works? Guild Wars will happen, with guild fort and strongholds to support them. The Northern Steppes will eventually open and be another zone. Expect more customization options for characters. There will also be new skills in the offering–with Legacy skills (for level 75+), Herbalism, and Alchemy mentioned. We can also expect a major content patch in the middle of all of these feature releases, as well as the addition of leaderboards and an arena.
It is a focused roadmap with changes affecting several connected systems, so once they are ready to reveal timing on some of these, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some added relatively closely.
Tavernlight also announced the first supporter bundles. The Adventurer and Trailblazer bundles are two limited-edition bundles with cosmetics and coins.
