Ravendawn’s 2.0.3 patch has arrived, bringing with it a Halloween update, a new movement passive, a big UI change and more.
The Halloween event, called Harvest Eve, arrives with this patch. Players can find Harvest Eve Supplybags throughout the world with power-ups and perks, including Candies that offer 10% damage bonuses to associated creature families for an hour. If you get Harvest Coins instead, you can buy Candies or get special Halloween housing decorations.
Ravendawn also continues its trend of bringing big changes with each major patch to try to make the game better. First and foremost, all players who’ve finished the tutorial will get the Horizon Bound passive condition, which gives a 20% movement boost in most areas while out of combat. It won’t be available in certain instanced areas nor, of course, in combat, but it’ll passively activate once you leave these situations.
Another quick but notable new feature for many players of all styles will be the ability to reposition housing on land. Through the new “Edit House Placement” tool in House Editor Tool, you can literally move your house anywhere on your land, so long as nothing’s in the way of the new placement.
The most literally visible change will be the addition of a new Threat indicator color system in the UI. Enemies will have different colors based on Threat Levels, Targeting status, and Provoke status, letting players know how an enemy is, or plans on, engaging. This is toggleable in the settings, if you prefer to play how it’s been without it. The post has some examples of how the threat system will work, including multiplayer scenarios.
There’ll also be a new Fairy Light system that lets players permanently increase their field of view underground. Six NPCs throughout the game, unlockable through the Artifacts System, will let players take on different missions of different requirements that unlock these Fairies of varying intensities.
In addition, there’s also a slew of new Bosses, Trophies, Boss changes and more updates and fixes. As other Ravendawn patches have been, this is a sizable one with patch notes worth looking at if you’ve been playing. The patch is live now, so all of these changes will be around when you boot it up next.
