Ragnarok: The Lost Memories is jumping from a mobile release over to PC today. The game is the latest entry in the Ragnarok franchise and has a twist in its card-based battle system.
The game follows a hero named Perr, a swordsman who has lost his memories. Naturally, he’ll go on a quest to get his memories back and figure out just what happened to him. You’ll have a chance to meet and recruit allies to a team that will adventure with you. Journey through Midgard through familiar places, take on quests, defeat monsters for loot and cards, and build yourself a capable battle deck.
The card-battling system will be what gets you through the game’s story and tasks. You’ll be able to collect cards and heroes to strengthen your team for any occasion. The game features classic RPG elements and much influence from the Ragnarok franchise, including quests, a full story, dungeons, daily quests, and more. There's a crafting system, resources, lots of loot from monsters and tasks, as well as a guild system. In fact, there are over 200 dungeons that have been adapted from Ragnarok Online, so those familiar with Ragnarok should find some familiar monsters from the IP.
The game also features an idle system that still enables players to make progress. You'll be able to earn resources, rewards, and experience automatically even when you're not playing. There are auto functions that will also allow you to automatically battle and use your skills, as well as travel if you want to. These fit the beginning of Ragnarok: The Lost Memories as a mobile title, but it could still make for a relaxing experience that you can choose to focus on challenges like story, dungeons, or card battles.
The game began as a mobile title, but Gravity announced that it would also become available on PC. The free to play game will be available today as of 6pm PDT. See more over at Ragnarok: The Lost Memories.
