If you want Ragnarok Online on the go and with far lower stakes, the idler game version, Ragnarok Idle Adventure, is on the horizon. Gravity Game Hub announced that it’s opened registration for the upcoming Closed Beta Test.
Idle Adventure lets players take up one of five classes for idle auto-battling. As you progress, you can customize your team and the fighters within with abilities, “cards,” and even cosmetics.
In a press release for this CBT, it’s described as “an exclusive opportunity for players to provide feedback and shape the final product as the developers work towards perfecting the game's features and functionality. By participating in the CBT, players get a first-hand experience of the game's features and have an opportunity to win abundant limited in-game item rewards prior to the Grand Launching phase.”
For now, this Closed Beta Test will be available everywhere except some East Asian and Southeast Asian regions, which I can only presume is because of different regulations and/or localization stuff they’d prefer to crank out first. Specifically, these are: Thailand, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, South Korea, and Japan. Also, characters will be reset after the test.
The CBT will be available via Google Play Store and Apple TestFlight.
The original Ragnarok Online is still, well, online, seeing regular updates as recently as this week.
