The Quinfall devs have released an extensive closed beta community Q&A that also features gameplay and feature footage of the game, following some recent criticism.

To say that the project has attracted some criticism would be an understatement, as many have taken the independent developer’s hyperbolic statements about the extensive game world and the use of premade assets as worth taking with a grain of salt. This new Q&A that debuted on the day the closed beta went live, was intended to assure everyone that things are moving forward with The Quinfall.

The interview is done in Turkish, but turning on the closed captioning provides a good English translation.

Among the answers we get are the map of The Quinfall. With the team touting the world size, it is 2016km² or about  778.382 square miles. There are no planned restrictions on the map and the full map is available now in the closed beta. They do not plan any restrictions on the map, so if you enter you'll be able to explore completely open and take your chances.

Vawraek emphasizes avoiding pay to win, so the game will be a one-time purchase and only published on Steam, with the in-game shop using V-Coin, a currency you can only get on Steam.

As far as gameplay, they mention having the expected MMORPG elements, like PvE, PvP, and roleplaying. This is going to be heavily influenced by the community in a player-driven game, but expect things like minigames in taverns and options on things to do. With PvE and PvP, they have different options to tailor the experience, including a channel system where there are PvP and PvE channels to pick how much risk you want to take. More risk, more potential reward.

There are 16 professions in the game with different stages and bonuses to progress through. We get a peek at character creation and some of the available options, and the team talks about their plans for the future. In addition to those mini games and other things around the world, there are three seasons in the world as well. they're also fast travel options, tours, and a portal system. There's more in the full video, which runs over 38 minutes into how the team plans to run the game with GMs and more on closed beta.

They reiterate that there will be no fees for the closed beta tests, and  for the second closed beta test,  everyone who participates will be able to share gameplay and details from their experiences.
