Blizzard has started to release the first information about the World of Warcraft 3v3 World Invitational that will culminate with eight of the top teams worldwide will head to Anaheim, California during Blizzcon 2014.
The North American Arena Tournament will use a double-elimination format to determine the top 3 teams. Beginning in the Nagrand Arena, each match will be played in a best-of-five format, with the losing team deciding the next map from the remaining pool of eligible maps. Each game will last until one team is eliminated or until 15 minutes have elapsed. When the dust settles, only the top 3 teams will move on to compete live at BlizzCon 2014. Eligible countries for the North American Arena Tournament include the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.
