Arrowhead Games has made two new weapons stratagems available for soldiers to aid in their efforts to spread managed democracy in Helldivers 2. The new weapons should come in handy in pushing back the Automatons on Troost in Operation ‘Swift Disassembly,’ the game’s latest Major Order.
First up is the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, whose description reads “Charges up to fire a powerful, explosive energy burst.” Purchasing the LAS-99 will set players back 7500 Requisition, but it sounds like it’s worth it, as one reddit user reports that the weapon can take out Automaton dropships.

The MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun costs 6,000 Requisition and its description reads “a very powerful but difficult-to-wield machine gun with intense recoil.” So far, this one hasn’t been as big of a hit with the community, owing to its low ammo, true to description recoil, and lack of third person aim. Still, it does seem to pack a punch, making it a decent option for dealing with medium sized enemies.
Helldivers 2 is available now on PC and PlayStation 5.
