Easily one of the most anticipated Sony exclusives releasing this year is Stellar Blade, and today we learn that fans will be able to get just a taste of what’s to come with a free demo.
On March 29th, a demo will be released allowing players to dive into the action-adventure game prior to launch. Save data from the demo will also carry over during the games official release on April 26th, meaning all of that sweet progress will be waiting for the fans down the line.
There was a slight hiccup earlier this month when the demo went live preemptively, but of course, Sony got it off of the market before too many people got to launch the game. That said, though, quite a few players did get to squeeze in and see what’s to come and, of course, leaked a little bit of “Skin” from Eve’s outfit.
We got our first look at Stellar Blade earlier this year during Sony’s State of Play, and we also learned that the one at the helm of this new game will be none other than Kim Hung Tae, who is known for their work on Blade and Soul. Many fans actually speculate that there is a connection between the two games, where a whole Reddit thread dedicated to the topic discusses the similarities between the Blade Master abilities and Eve’s from Stellar Blade.
Of course, with a developer coming from the Blade and Soul franchise, there were sure to be a few similarities in the mix, which is just another reason everyone cannot wait to get their hands on this game once it goes live.
