The Profane team has a roadmap update, with a number of changes and updates on work completed and new phases beginning.
One of the changes highlighted is removing “Regions” from the part of development centered on Early Semisus to its own card. This not only let the team at Insane Studios mark Early Semisus as complete, in moving Regions to its own card, this lets them update on development in stages. On the roadmap, Regions is now sitting in orange, which means “starting integration”, with half of the bars filled.
Clearly, this was holding the Early Semisus card back by a lot, and it makes sense to pull it out. One of the things that they have been working on for Regions is to create regions that connect to each other, which is a big part of creating an open world for an MMORPG sandbox anyway. Also in this category is their “handover system”, which lets players and their items travel between regions, and the region generation system that the team uses to keep making new areas.
?? We have started working on the Trading System. It's on an early stage, where our game designers are actually structuring the whole system, and defining how it will work. Which means it is a great moment to share with us your ideas on that subject.

Other areas the team has been working on and shuffling around in their roadmap grid include the guild system, which they’re pushing back work on in order to test the game with other features first, including domination areas and Protection Flags. The trading system is now underway, with the devs planning out the system and how it will work. There’s even a call for feedback on what you might want to see from Profane’s trading system if you’re interested in the game.
Plants and Seeds has been renamed Farming in order to emphasize the full system they’re building and to mark progress. Finally, the team also added a few new cards to grow the roadmap, and these include new cards for social features, including social UI, and a new Customization Shop card.
