Ubisoft recently dropped a five minute gameplay overview for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the latest entry in the long running Prince of Persia action-adventure series, this time in 2.5D.
The Lost Crown is the first major game released in the Prince of Persia series since the release of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time in 2010. Players will play as Sargon, who has the ability to manipulate the boundaries of time and space using various Time Powers. In the game, players will take on a variety of time-corrupted enemies and mythological creatures using said Time Powers, a variety of combat skills, and platforming abilities to dish out deadly combos.
Sargon’s adventure takes him to Mount Qaf, a Persian-inspired world stacked to the brim with larger-than-life landmarks, diverse biomes, puzzles, hidden treasures, and quests. Amulets purchased from various shopkeepers can be used to tailor the game to one’s playstyle.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown launches on January 18, 2024 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players looking to try before they buy can check out a demo of the game on January 11.
