Scions of Ithelia is almost here for The Elder Scrolls Online, and the team is previewing another of the two new dungeons coming in the DLC: Bedlam Veil.

The DLC begins rolling out on PC and Mac on March 11th, and makes it to consoles on March 26th. We recently saw a new lore update on Fa-Nuit-Hen, the demiprince of Maelstrom, who you’ll be helping in Bedlam Veil. How will you help them?

A cult, the Blind Path, has invaded this mysterious vault, where treasures, memories, and assorted other materials are stored. Fa-Nuit-Hen is both interested in this disruption and wants to stop them from whatever goal they have. This is, of course, where you come in.

If you’re familiar with Maelstrom Arena, this dungeon is going to offer a different experience, as writer designer Helena Wachhaus says in the preview. “Bedlam Veil shows a side of its master that is less planned out”, as opposed to the curated arena challenge. And for those who are looking down the line to the Gold Road, there is much on the way here that should both feel familiar and new, alongside some elements to pick up on that will lead directly into Gold Road later this year. Some monsters “have this glassy, almost mirror-like appearance that may help you draw some connections from the ongoing story to the Blind Path’s ultimate goals”.

The dungeon has some areas that will look like they are under construction, because this isn't as organized as the arenas.  you'll find some enemies that would be familiar if you took on Maelstrom Arena before (and if you haven’t yet, ZeniMax is giving away the Orisinum DLC free as a login reward). So not only will you be facing some tough monsters, you’ll also have to deal with the Blind Path cultists and boss, the Blind.

The team also previews a number of rewards you can look forward to, including a new monster mask and three unique item sets. Blind Path Induction light set, for instance, will give you a boost to damage shield when targeting enemies less than 15m from you and healing when targeting allies more than 15m away from you.
